My poor old big dog, Ursa. I think she either twisted or sprained her leg. She was fine when I got home yesterday about 4:30 and she was still fine when I went bed. By the time Marcus got home after 7, she couldn't walk on it and you could tell she was really in pain. She's almost 12 years old and she has a touch of arthritis. Sometimes she just falls while she's walking along for no reason. I feel so bad for her, sometimes. When I let her outside at 2 this morning, she got down the stairs just fine but then couldn't get back up them to get into the house. I ended up having to carry her. That's when I knew she was really having trouble because normally she hates to be picked up. I think it just doesn't happen enough for her to be used to it as she weighs over 100 lbs. She seemed almost relieved that I carried her. My poor baby. To make matters worse, our other dog, Skippy, is a total dork and he's always dancing all around. He keeps knocking her over. *sigh*

I had a major project deadline today at school and so I got very little sleep last night (3 hours). I also had to go back to work after I got out of class because I didn't have time to get everything finished before school. I need sleep, but here I am surfing the ol' internet. Stuuuupid!
The new Austin Powers movie comes out this weekend. Maybe I can get Marcus to take me to it to celebrate our unofficial anniversary (the official one is in October). On Saturday, July 27, it will have been 10 years since Marcus and I first got together. Man, time flies . . .
Ok, I'm going to bed.

Man, I am so digging this school I'm going to. Not only do I have an instructor who has worked in the field for many, many years and is very good at what he does, but he is also a no-nonsense kind of guy. He sets deadlines and you either adhere to them or your grade tanks. The fact that he loves the work I'm doing doesn't hurt, either. That's another thing: he's not afraid to let you know when you're screwing up or when you're doing well. I really like that. The first couple fo weeks I was really scared of the guy, but I started talking to him more this week and he's really cool.
I found out the other day that the receptionist that I talk to everyday is actually the wife of the school's president. When they told me this school was family-run, they weren't kidding. Last Wednesday they held a BBQ for the faculty and students in the parking lot. The president was letting students throw water balls at him. It was so cool. I'm sure I would've had a better time if I had known some people. I've only been there 3 weeks and I haven't really had time to make any friends yet. I'm so surprised at the amount of men that go there. There is only one other girl in my class of 20 people. You'd think that women would be more into artsy stuff, but I guess not.
I just got the Sims' Hot Date for my iMac a couple of weeks ago. I've been so busy that I haven't had time to play with it except for a ew minutes after I installed it. It seems pretty cool. So, not only do I have to wait for the Mac release of Vacation, but now they're going to be releasing
Unleashed in September for the PC. I'm so jealous. It ought to be ready for the Mac in a year or so. Boooooo! Oh, well. I won't have time to waste on playing the Sims until I'm done with school anyway. Right?

Wow! Here's a horoscope that I really wish was true:
Dear Ladonna, here is your Horoscope for July 20, 2002
Have you been looking for a new job, Ladonna? If so, you might hear of an opportunity today from a totally unexpected source. This could mean that someone whom you'd never suspect brings it to your attention, or it could be in a new and unusual field. One way or another, as weird as it may seem, it's worthy of consideration. Look into it either way, and get all the facts before acting.
Best wishes for today, from the Astrologers of
www.astrocenter.com.
